Sharing My Holiday

If you’re like me, you are beginning to think about the upcoming holidays.  For me, this month will bring Thanksgiving, and our recent snowfall in NY has made me realize that Christmas is truly just around the corner.  There are so many wonderful holidays that are celebrated around the world in December, and this year I thought it might be nice to share our special days with each other via a photograph swap.  Because the holidays are such a busy time, I am keeping it simple both for you and for me.

This is how it will work:

You make a photograph of the one thing about your holiday that is most special to you.  The photograph can be any size, taken with any camera, edited in any manner you wish, or not edited at all.  You then send this photograph to your sharemate along with a handwritten (because that makes it special) note explaining why it is so special to you.  In return, you receive one from your sharemate!  Simple, yes?

Now for the important part.  If you are interested in participating:

Send me an e-mail at:  lisa_a_gordon@yahoo.com (those are underscores between lisa, a, and gordon)

Please put the words “Sharing My Holiday” in the subject line.

In the e-mail, I will need your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and your blog or Flickr URL.

As e-mails come to me, I will pair you with another participant and then send you the info you need to get your photograph to your sharemate.  I will begin pairing on Saturday, November 5th  and end on December 3rd  at midnight.

Please be sure to have your photograph and note in the mail so that your sharemate will receive it during the month of December, and do be sure to allow plenty of extra time if your sharemate does not live in the same country as you.

Because this is a busy time, I will leave you a reminder each Monday in my Creative Exchange Post.  If you would like to have a “Sharing My Holiday” button for your blog, you can grab the code for it below.  The button will lead directly to this post.  Please know that although I would appreciate you spreading the word by using the button on your blog, no button, link-up, link-back, etc. is required to participate.

If you have any questions about "Share My Holiday," you can either e-mail me, or post your questions here in the comments section.  If you post your question in the comments section here, I will answer it in the comments section here.

I do hope you'll join us!
